Select Cases screen: Lower Tribunal Records

This screen is used to identify the case that is the basis for the PACFiling. Prior to completing this action, you must indicate that you are filing the record on behalf of your court or agency through the Proxy Selection screen, which appears immediately upon entering the wizard.

All fields denoted with an asterisk (*) are required:

1.

Click on the Case Filing link appearing in the Actions section of your Dashboard or the Case Filing option in the PACFile menu.

2.

If you have the proxy rights to file on behalf of someone else, you will see the Proxy Selection screen. Select the I am filing on behalf of someone else radio button, choose your court/agency from the dropdown, and click SUbmit.

3.

In the Select Cases screen, use the Docket Number field to specify the docket number of the Appellate Court case on which you will be submitting the documents.

4.

Click the SEARCH button.

5.

Within the search results, click the Select Case icon Select Case icon appearing next to the appropriate case.

6.

If applicable, do not select the checkbox for any associated cases that display. If you need to file the same record on multiple cases, you must complete the filing process separately for each case.

7.

Click the OK button to advance to the Select Filing screen.

This screen is only part of the PACFile wizard when the filing is initiated through the Case Filing link on the Dashboard or through the Case Filing option in the PACFile menu. When lower tribunal record filings are initiated through a Dashboard notification, representing a specific request from an Appellate court, the information captured in this screen is already available in PACFile and does not need to be reentered. In this scenario, this screen does not appear in the wizard.
