Granting/Denying a Proxy Request

When an individual initiates a proxy request, a response is required by the subject of that request (a.k.a. the granting authority). This response is completed through the My Proxies section of the My Profile screen, where any requests for proxy rights appear automatically. One of the following processes can be completed by anyone who receives a request:

Granting a Request

1.

Click the Approve user's request icon Approve user's request icon.

2.

Click on the Edit User Proxy Rights icon Edit User Proxy Rights icon for the new proxy. In the User Proxy Rights popup screen, click the corresponding checkbox to assign any of the following privileges to an individual to define their rights as your proxy:

  • Access Management User - Empowers the proxy to accept or reject any future requests by individuals asking to proxy on your behalf. Once assigned, all other proxy rights can be assigned by this individual to your proxies, except this one, which is reserved solely to you.

  • Create Initiating Filings - Provides the authority to create new case action filings on your behalf. This does not include the authority to approve or submit filings.

  • Create Ancillary Filings - Provides the authority to create filings on existing cases on your behalf. This does not include the authority to approve or submit filings.

  • Approve Filings - Delegates supervisory authority to approve filings created on your behalf by any proxy that has not been granted this privilege. Use of an approval process is not required. If you do not require your proxies to submit filings for review prior to submission, this right should be assigned to all proxies who also have the Submit Filings privilege.

  • Submit Filings - Provides the authority to submit and pay for any filing created on your behalf. This does not include the authority to create or approve a filing. Filings cannot be submitted by a proxy without both the Approve Filings and Submit Filings privileges.
