People I Can Proxy For

The PACFile system offers the ability to provide a person, known as a proxy, the authority to perform specific actions on behalf of another PACFile-registered individual (a.k.a. the granting authority) or organization (ex. state agency, district attorney's office, or juvenile probation office). If you have been granted proxy rights to at least one individual or organization, the People I Can Proxy For grid within the My Profile screen displays the list of your proxy partners.

Many of the privileges assigned within a proxy relationship are available in the Proxy Rights column. You may have one, some, or all of the following:

  • Administer Proxies - Empowers you to accept or reject any future requests made by individuals asking to proxy on behalf of the granting authority. You have the authority to grant all proxy rights for this individual's proxies, except this specific privilege. Only the granting authority maintains the right to delegate this privilege. For organizational proxy relationships, this right is restricted to the access management user (AMU).

  • Create Initiating Filings - Provides the ability to create new case action filings on behalf of the granting authority or organization. This does not include the authority to approve or submit filings.

  • Create Ancillary Filings - Provides the ability to create filings on existing cases on behalf of the granting authority or organization. This does not include the authority to approve or submit filings.

  • Approve Filings - Provides the ability to approve filings created on behalf of the granting authority or organization. This privilege does not grant the right to submit filings but, if the proxy relationship is not using an approval process, this right should be granted to you if you also have the Submit Filings privilege.

  • Submit Filings - Provides the ability to submit and pay for any filing created on behalf of the granting authority or organization. This does not include the authority to create or approve a filing. You cannot submit filings without both the Approve Filings and Submit Filings privileges.

In addition, the Notification Types column displays the list of notification types you receive through your Dashboard that are directed to the granting authority or organization.

An individual that proxies for multiple individuals and/or organizations can have different rights for each proxy relationship.
