Upcoming and Overdue Reports
What you can see...
Reports, Due Dates...
Whenever you open your Dashboard you are going to see the following based on the circumstances of your guardianship case(s):
-
Any unsubmitted reports that have a future due date.
-
Any unsubmitted reports that have already passed their due date.
Use the Due column to determine when a particular report is expected by the court. Consider the following when reviewing your due dates:
-
Inventory reports can be submitted at anytime prior to the due date.
-
Guardian of the Person and Estate reports cannot be submitted more than 30 days prior to their due date.
When more than one report displays, each can be distinguished by the name of the incapacitated person (IP) and by the type of Inventory, Person, or Estate in the Report column. Given the circumstances of the guardianship, you may be responsible for filing different reports for the same IP.
...and Statuses
All reports default to a Status of New. This signifies a report that you have not started. Additional statuses may appear based on the actions you complete on a particular report:
-
Saved - Represents a report that you have started and is still in progress.
-
Ready for Submission - Represents a report you have started, meets the minimum requirements for submission, but remains unsubmitted.
-
Return for Correction - Represents a report that you have submitted to the court that was subsequently returned because something was incorrect or missing. You will also receive a Returned for Correction notification that details the problem the court wants you to address.
-
In Shopping Cart - Represents a report, which has an associated filing fee, that has been added to your cart in preparation for payment.
What you can do...
Filter your Cases
Use the Filter icon to limit the reports that display to those associated with a specific case file number or incapacitated person. You can select or deselect checkboxes to determine what information displays and also choose how the information is sorted. This option is particularly useful for guardians that are responsible for a lot of reports and have a need to manage the list displayed. To close the filter popup, click anywhere on the screen outside the popup.
Open a Report
A Create Report icon or Edit Report icon appears next to every report displayed. This is how you open a particular report to view and work on. If the Status of a report is New, clicking the Create Report icon opens a blank version of the report. If the Status is anything else, the Edit Report icon opens the report and displays the information you've entered so far. In either case, you can enter or update information on the report as needed.
Submit Multiple Reports
The Add to Cart icon allows you to file multiple reports on the same case simultaneously when they're in a Status of 'Ready for Submission.' Once added to your cart, you can use the Shopping Cart icon to proceed to checkout. Checkout is part of the submission process, even if the report(s) in your cart doesn't carry a fee. You are not required to enter any payment information if your fee subtotal is $0.00.
The best use of this feature is when you want have multiple reports to submit at once, regardless of case, filing fees, or county of origin. Some counties charge a discounted fee when submitting both reports at the same time so this action may save you money. Even if the county does not offer a discounted fee, filing multiple reports at the same time will only charge a single convenience fee.
